Sliema is located in the northern part of the island of Malta, on the peninsula of Tigne Point, surrounded by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Marsamxett. Sliema belongs to the municipal band of Valletta, bordering St. Julian’s and Gjira
The walk along the promenade was a great delight. There are beautiful views from everywhere.
After classes at the partner school in Qormi we visited this one of the most beautiful resorts in Malta many times.
Next to the beaches there are also historic churches. The name Sliema itself derives from the chapel of the Virgin Mary and the opening words of the Hail Mary prayer.
Sliem in Maltese means peace.
It was wonderful to spend time here.
